Founded in 2003 by a geriatric psychiatrist, Psychiatric Medical Care (PMC) operates inpatient and outpatient programs located in rural communities across the country.
PMC was developed with the sole mission to improve the quality of life of older adults living in rural communities. We provide group and individual therapy to Seniors who deal with stresses brought on by aging, loss of spouse or changes in mental and physical abilities that normally wouldn’t have access to this type of care. RequirementsTravel required on an on-going basis throughout region, as designated, up to 75% of the time .Master’s level healthcare director with 2+ years in contract management experience, or Master’s level training with 5+ years of psych management experience, or Bachelor's degree with some experience with psychiatry or a combination of education and experience that is equal to the above descriptions, may be accepted.Experience: 2 years of managing multiple site locations. Minimum 5 years of overall management experience, minimum 2 years healthcare experience of managing managers and partnering with referral sources in a community.Comfortable with community education and referral development. Behavioral Healthcare Experience preferred.Knowledge of hospital-based outpatient psychiatry, inpatient psychiatry, and/or working with Geriatrics preferred. Familiarity with medical team roles and with the functioning of other hospital departments.Knowledge of community resources for older persons, knowledge of Medicare guidelines, Medicaid, healthcare payment models, and insurance requirements as these relate to patient care, preferred.Business & relationship development skills required
