Karen Rosengreen, MS, CBIS
Karen Rosengreen, MS, CBIS, joined PMC in 2018 as a Regional Director for Senior Life Solutions programs in the Des Moines region. She grew up in a medical family, with a grandfather in pharmacy and a mother who worked in hospice nursing. Karen immediately knew her passion lied in healthcare and found her strengths in the behavioral and mental health areas during college.
Karen’s career began in Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS), providing BHIS to children and families in Central Iowa. In 2009, she moved to Kentucky and was a clinical coordinator for an agency in Louisville which specialized in dual-diagnosis. After returning to Iowa to pursue her Master’s degree, she joined the Brain Injury Alliance of Iowa as a Neuro-Resource Facilitator. During her work with BIA-IA, she became a Certified Brain Injury Specialist. In 2015, Karen joined Genesis Development and developed the first state accredited Crisis Stabilization Center in Iowa. She continued to grow Hope Wellness Center by adding a transitional living center, a mobile crisis response team, a 24/hour crisis line, and on-site medical clearance.
Karen graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Child, Adult and Family Services from Iowa State University and in 2014 earned her Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Purdue University. She is passionate about mental health and helping individuals find their path to recovery.
