Diane R. Burkett, C.M.M is a founding member of Psychiatric Medical Care. She fulfills the vital finance and administrative operations of the company. She has more than 40 years of experience in medical office management with a specialty in reimbursement provisions. For the last 31 years, she has overseen Dr. James Greene's business functions for his geriatric psychiatry practice and was instrumental in development of Geriatric Medical Care and Psychiatric Medical Care organizations. She is also the liaison for the numerous professional organizations for the board members of PMC. Diane manages finance and accounting, human resources, and regulatory and reimbursement departments.
She is the author of the chapter on Medicare coding and reimbursement in the Manual of Nursing Home Practice for Psychiatrists (American Psychiatric Press, 2000). She has served as a consultant to the University of Tennessee and UT Medical Group Department of Psychiatry. In addition, Diane consults with hospitals and medical directors on Medicare reimbursement issues.
Diane is a Certified Medical Manager and attended Newcomb College of Tulane University. She is a renowned expert on genealogy research continuing to work with Identifinders International and the US Army Human Resources Command to find living relatives to provide DNA reference samples for identification of the remains of KIA/MIA soldiers from the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
